le nom de la rue est...

Today was another late start, jet leg has not worn off. The afternoon began as a hunt for le meilleur macaroons du monde. En route, we stumbled upon the Louvre and finally made our way to the trés chic rue Cambon (1er arr.) to the famous Pierre Hermé.

After our mouthwatering experience, we headed onward towards the Champs Elysées. We managed a glimpse of the Arc de Triumph before catching the metro back home. A few hours later (including the unpredicted hour of walking in stilettos!) we arrived at our first destination, the popular Palette (43 rue de Seine) in St. Germain.

Next we settled in at Don Carlos. We recommend the Sangria and enjoyed the live music. The crowd was lively and friendly. A few stops (and too many vodka tonics later) we found ourselves hailing a cab home, only to realize it was approaching 5 am- and we were on the wrong street! Shoes in hand, we watched the sun rise while searching for our apartment.

Bonne Nuit at last!
